I had no more than left my home in Lexington, Texas when I saw a man at an intersection in Waco, Texas with a sign on his back. It stated………
4 STEPS-Get Drunk-Fornicate-Abort Baby-GO TO HELL. What a great sending off for my 6400 mile trip to Calgary. Boy, that’s GOOD NEWS. But once I got out of Texas, I was in heaven. I even got pulled over in Minnesota driving 67 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. The officer got on his computer, saw that I had not had a speeding ticket since 1981, and he gave me a warning. I deserved hell but got grace. That’s how my whole trip was…..AFTER I left Texas. As the officer left I gave him just the opposite response, handing him the book “Hope Beyond Hell”. You know the drill…..”Sir, this is not a warning, but rather your ticket….to heaven that is”. He looked at me kind of funny.
