On the last Sunday in March of 2007, Pastor Dick King of Indian Hills Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas preached a message than in the UR Movement will become a “CLASSIC” in days ahead regarding the Father’s heart. The following is a short excerpt from that message. A modified form of this message was preached at the Father’s Day Conference in Kansas City the opening night. THE EXCERPT-”I have called you to start a revolution; not a reformation, but a REVOLUTION! I said God, ‘What is the difference?’ He said ‘Whenever you start a reformation, you will negotiate the most prized things. I don’t want you to negotiate anything. I want to cause A REVOLUTION.’ I said, ‘Over what?’ He said, ‘My heart and my great name.’ I said, ‘God, what is at stake is really your great name.’ I recognized that I am fighting for something that is bigger than my job, being a pastor, and it’s bigger than life itself. I’m fighting for my son’s grandchildren. I’m fighting for something that has to change about the heart of God I’m tired of preachers that will say, ‘I kinda see it the way you do, but I would never say that in the pulpit.’ ‘WELL WHY NOT? SAY SOMETHING! EITHER SAY GOD IS MEANER THAN HITLER AND IS GOING TO BURN YOU FOR ETERNITY OR SAY IT’S A LIE BUT DAMN IT! SAY SOMETHING! One pastor told me, ‘Well, we don’t talk about it.’ ‘WELL TALK ABOUT IT!’ The pastor said, ‘Well that’s over my head.’ ‘GOD’S LOVE IS OVER YOUR HEAD!’ My point is this. Either let’s preach it and be proud about it, or you go ahead and say, ‘God is meaner than I ever thought. Worship the Lamb.’ Think with your heart. We have made God worse than Hitler. We have made him worse than any child abuser that ever lived. I’m tired of hearing about a God who has the keys of the kingdom, of death, hell, and the grave, and doesn’t know how to use them. I’m tired of a God that loves just 1% of the human race and says, ‘To hell with the rest of them!’ I’m tired of a God whose says, ‘I desire for every man to be saved, but I just can’t do anything about it.’ You show me in scripture where you can back this up or, We Are Going to Have War! I’m tired of men saying that I am wrong but don’t have the guts to bring a bible to my office to talk about it. Either shut-up or draw a sword. I’m telling you, ‘My God wins!’ You can say that he is an impotent fool and is meaner than a snake. But at least say something! I’M TELLING YOU, MY GOD WINS!
