#9-GENEALOGY-”It’s So Boring” (Oh, Really?)

Stephen JonesAdam begat Seth, Seth begat Enos, Enos begat Kenan, Kenan begat Mahaleel, Mehaleel begat Jared, Jared begat Enoch, Enoch begat Methusaleh, Mehusaleh begat Lamech, and Lamech begat Noah. We skip the genalogy and hustle over to the New Testament (not Stephen Jones). Stephen Jones at the Father’s Day meeting in Peculiar shared with us the meaning of these 10 generations’ names; which when put together make a sentence you won’t believe. A sentence that speaks of God is in control, that He is sovereign, and a prophetic unction of Him reconciling all of humanity. The following list are the names and what they mean.
1 Adam- earthy
2 Seth- to be placed
3 Enos- frailed flesh
4 Kenan- a house or fixed habitation
5 Mahaleel- to the praise of God
6 Jared- descend
7 Enoch- to teach or reveal
8 Methuselah- when he is dead, it shall be sent
9 Lamech- powerful
10 Noah- rest and comfort

And just what do these names mean when put together? Earthy man was placed in frailed flesh in a house or fixed habitation, but the praise of God will descend to teach or reveal that after He is dead, then shall it be sent that He is the powerful One and the One of Comfort and Rest. Sounds like all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine. WOW!
