Rick SpencerRick and Cindy Spencer live in Lexington, Texas and oversee Action Ministry. Rick has a Master’s Degree in theology from The Institute For Teaching God’s Word. Cindy has a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University. Rick also has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Texas A&M where he lettered in football in 1971. They have 4 children; Sarah, Luke, Anna, and Ben.

Rick has been involved in mission work in Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, India, Jamaica, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. In 1998, Rick traveled to Durbin, South Africa to dedicate a building his church, Rockdale Christian Fellowship had built. Rick has founded 7 different food pantries in the Central Texas area. Several million pounds has been distributed to the needy in the last 10 years.

Rick’s ministry through the years has been centered on the “love of God”. It was not until 2002 did he see God’s love truly was 100% (totally and completely) unconditional. Since then, the grounding process began with tremendous mentoring and support by Dr. Harold Lovelace (Mobile, Alabama) and John Gavazzoni (Thousand Oaks, California). It was in May of 2005 that the Inclusion Conferences began. Along with the conferences, Action Ministry has expanded to do “Reconciliation Now!” meetings in homes as well as Round Table Summit’s for leaders to network and discuss strategies.

The Name… Action Ministry

My prayer closet is my bathtub (Ha!Ha!). It is the place where I lay in this steaming hot water and for what ever reason I shift my brain into neutral and relax. I must admit, I am unspiritual and am thinking about nothing. With my mind disengaged, the Lord starts speaking. It is there that he gave me the name Action Ministry. My ministry has always been mobile, active, hopefully resulting in ‘Being a Doer of the Word’. But it was more than just the definition of the word. The letters also meant something (A-C-T-I-O-N). Those six letters spoke of A Church That’s In Our Neighborhood.

My Grandbaby

hayden.JPGMy grandbaby recently had her 3rd birthday and my challenge to you is this… every human being was once a 3 year-old baby. Who would imagine sending a baby or anyone created in the image of God to an endless hell? At the point of a lion and a lamb lying down together all evil will have had to be put under the feet of the Prince of Peace. No more darkness or evil. And this promise is in scripture. Isaiah 11 prophesies of that day. A lion and a fatling will lie down together. A lamb’s dwelling place is “hay” and a lion’s dwelling place is a “den”. This little baby’s name is “Hayden Grace Bexley.” I interpret her name to be “the dwelling places of restoration”. Church Listen! The world will run out of sin before my ‘Heavenly Daddy’ runs out of grace.

Vision

NOW IT’S TIME TO CHANGE YOUR WAYS…
Turn to face God so he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessings to refresh you, and send you the Messiah he prepared for you, namely Jesus. For the time being, He must remain out of sight in heaven UNTIL EVERYTHING IS RESTORED TO ORDER AGAIN just the way God, through the preaching of his holy prophets of old said it would be… These prophets, along with the covenant God made with your ancestors, are your family tree. God’s covenant word to Abraham provides the text: BY YOUR OFFSPRING ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH WILL BE BLESSED.
Acts 3:19-21, 25 (The Message)

Our Purpose

Hi! They just call me coach. My name is Rick Spencer and we, at Action Ministry are committed to sharing the ‘Good News’. Namely, to bear witness to all of humanity the effectiveness of God’s saving grace in Christ for all of mankind. Practically speaking we are called to network ministers and connect believers through hosting conferences and house meetings all over the nation. It’s happening! The Apostle Paul stated it so well in Ephesians 4:11-16 with eight significant points:

1-Networking Ministers (Verse 11)- Networking and connecting ministers that function with such job descriptions as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.
2-Equipping (Verse 12)- Equip believers for their appointed ministries.
3-Edifying (Verse 12)- Bring refreshing and encouragement to believers.
4-Unity (Verse 13)- Focus on the manifestation of the fullness of Christ, which will come when we all come to the unity of the faith.
5-Expose Religion (Verse 14)- Evangelistically, expose doctrines that depict our father as a God that will torment millions he created, for all of eternity.
6-Maturity (Verse 15)- Learn how to speak the truth in love which only comes from training and coming into maturity.
7-Connecting the Body (Verse 16)- Networking and connecting the body; joining and knitting the parts of the body together that it might minister to one another in what every joint supplies and needs.
8-THE BANNER OVER US IS LOVE! (Verse 16)- The bottom line is a manifestation of “Thy Kingdom Come” which will be revealed by unconditional love for one another. For God is love.
